Hello DennisI have just discovered your Boychoir Magazine online, and am delighted to find it! What a fabulous publication! I'm a "regular ol' Mom" who first heard a boychoir when I was 13 years old, growing up in NC. My father purchased an LP (yes, an LP -- I'm 40-something now..lol) of Hymn to St. Cecilia performed by Choir of Kings' College, Cambridge. I was instantly hooked on the sound. From that moment until this very one as I write, I have listened to, studied and compared boys' choirs and boy soloists around the world. Until the arrival of the Internet (yay, YouTube, Live365, and BCSD!) I had to be content with LP's and reading an occasional article, review or book. Later on it was CD's and what concert tickets I could afford through college and single life. I'm a busy Mom with a special needs (Autistic) son and a teen-aged daughter, but I still make time to study the art form of boychoir at least an hour or so a week. It's better than therapy, sounds far more beautiful, lifts my spirits, and it's practically free! This morning I happened to be poking about to learn more about the Houston Boychoir; I live in Pearland, just outside of Houston, and thought I'd see if the HBC had any upcoming concerts. Through a series of links I stumbled across your magazine and wondered, "How in the world have I managed to miss such a fabulous publication all this time?? I feel like I've just struck oil in my own back yard!"
While having my own small business being a full-time wife and Mom tends to make that rare delight called "spare time" even more elusive, I can't wait to spend many, many happy moments perusing your issues. Thank you so much for this wonderful publication. You can be sure I'll be making a donation to such a fabulously worthy cause. Keep up the great work!
Best Regards and Many Blessings,
